Photos

I managed to put some photos of bowls using Hello, quite exciting and easy to use. Sorry I haven't changed the blog lay out.. it pains me when i look at it, it looks more like a bland sydney sun set than the sun and it's too pastel for my choice but I am exhausted tonite and spent most of it watching DVD's after work! Long Easter weekend ahead! yeay!! Happy Easter everybody.. will study the in and outs of blog layout-ing then and try to come up with something original.
Good nite I am soo tired work is very tiring..

Lawn Bowls Posted by Hello

It's not winter yet!!

The weather has been horrible, rain, wind terrible storms, and it's just like winter, where did Autumn go? you can check out this horribleness here (will try to add this to my list of links! hopefully update my blog tonite).
I just wanted to share with everyone a great Aussie movie I saw last nite, Hating Alison Ashley
any Aussies out there that have read the book by Robin Klein growing up can relate to the awesome realisatio of this movie! Yippy!! i must have read it about six times at school, and when i saw that it was coming out , had to drag R along to it. He so willingly complied, but i guess it was also a way of saying thanks for enduring Constantine and other boy movies that gave me nightmares! I highly recommend it , for anyone that can get their hands on the book or watch the movie, it's witty and very smart. The movie was great, the actors were great, Delta Goodrem as Alison Ashley and the girl that plays Erica (shame on me for not remembering her name! but its very long..) is a classic , and pulls the funniest faces. I was in stithces and so was R, just from watching me laugh so much. Me and all the kids in the cinema :)
One last thing before I go, is that I told R about my blog and in between laughter he asked if anyone read it? I said at least one or two people might read it? ohh men!
Have a good day everyone and hope the weather is better at your end than it is in mine!

Lawn Bowls part 2

So it looks like I'll have to upload images to a place on the net then post them here! this is harder than i thought considering I wanted to spend tonite doing this but, that is not to be. To put this as anonimously as possible, my best friend broke up with her boyfriend who is also one of my best friends, and she's gone to be with her Mum for a day to feel better about herself, meanwhile , busy as I am and with all the work stuff i have going on I'm looking after him, emotionally, as much as I can but i can only do so much, before I feel like I am going through this break up myself!! So I'd better go as he needs to talk again, i feel so bad, i don't know what to say to make him feel better, and i think i've said in the past week all I can, however, i guess being there is the main thing, so adios amigos... promise to see if i can post the photos sometimes this week!!

Nice day for a roll..

Sorry for my lack of updates over the weekends, it's been quite busy..but I managed to get some photos that I'll post up here later on.
On Saturday we went with a group of friends to play Lawn Bowls
with a group of friends...despite the horrendus rain and sudden cold weather, Satuday morning was very sunny and warm, and i managed as usual to get as sunburnt playing bowls as I usually do going to the beach. Makes me feel good when people think I"m such a surfie chic..but then I feel a bit sad saying 'no actually, I went to play bowls'...Don't feel too bad though, because despite being the favourite sport of older senior citizens, lawn bowls is quite hot here at the moment and lots of young people are playing it! it's safe to say when we go to the club that there's heaps of other people my age there..so it's always fun.
For all of you that are up for a laugh and want to know all about Lawn Bowls, i recommend watching an Aussie movie called Crackerjack
which is an absolute cracker of a movie, quite hilarious and a nice way to see one of the most fashionable cities in Australia...Melbourne! love it. Highly recommended for a laugh.

Poor effort!

I'm really behind on this thing, not even updating the blog or changing the template since last friday! well i'll try to get some time over the weekend to make it look less template-y and more home-y.
I have a huge headache today, it surprises me sometimes how totally clumsy I am. I was getting out of my car at the carpark at work, then went back in to get my handbag without looking and hit my head on the side of the roof of the car! OUCH! i think i wanted to pass out from the pain and now have a little bump on my forehead. Honestly, what a great impression to make at my new job of this very big company i work for. Actually i think that went out the window about a month ago when i dropped water on the circuit boards i was using and smoke came out, i freaked out and called my boss, who in between laughter unplugged them all. Oh well, I'm sure that I'll provide enough entertainment!
Welcome to my blog everyone that is kind enough to read it :) I do have great ideas on putting pics of Sydney in the background and links to interesting sites. So it will not remain as bland as it looks!

Weather update: not so sunny, it's been rainy and cold (by Sydney standards!) at 15C the past two days! ouch! feels like winter already and it's only autumn!

First post, why not..

Well after reading so many blogs and somewhat enjoying them all, I might as well try it now, considering there is a real lack of blogs from Sydney.. see if I can share my experiences with others out there who are contemplating moving to this borad brown wide wonderful land of ours.. bear with me as I edit the template..
